Mohanlal’s Alibhai postponed for Sholay
Mohanlal has decided to postpone his big budget Christmas release ‘Alibhai’ as a date clash is bound to occur with Ramgopal Varma’s Sholay starting on the 27th of September. In Sholay, Lal plays the role of a police officer, based on the character played by Sanjeev Kumar in the magnum opus.
Meanwhile it is informed that Lal will indeed work with Shaji Kailas this October in the project titled ‘Baba Kalyani’. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor and written by S N Swamy, Lal’s role is said to be that of a police official. While the depth of his character is not yet revealed, it could be in the lines of Wanted (2004) in which Lal played a pivotal role.
