Mani Ratnam decides on Guru’s release date
This year’s biggest visual extravaganza Guru is scheduled to be released in December. Guru has generated huge expectations among the public and is Mani’s next venture after his bilingual Yuva, which was made in Tamil and Hindi. Though Yuva was not a big hit, it received critical accolades from the movie circles.
Seems like Mani has set Guru for a December release. According to reliable sources in the industry Guru will hit the screens on December 22. Guru is expected to be a milestone in the otherwise slumping Abhishek’s career.
Eventually, Mani’s Yuva put Abhishek’s career in a fast track proving his acting skills. Let us hope Abhishek and Aishwarya could work their magic this time, which they failed to do in Kuch Na Kaho.
The other big releases contending with Guru will be Farhan Akhtar’s Don, J P Dutta’s Umrao Jaan, Shirish Kunder’s directorial debut Jaaneman, Sanjay Gadhvi’s Dhoom 2 and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya. Incidentally, Aishwarya stars in Dhoom 2 as well.

Please release GURU MOVIE at the Earliest , Me & My friends are eagerly waiting for the movie by december ……,2006 & not in 2007.

I am eager to see the movie Guru. I like to know the date of release. I am
going to Kolkata on 30/12/06 and will stay for six weeks. I hope in the
mean time it will release and I can enjoy it with my sister.

Please release GURU as earliest. Can’t wait to see the movie. Had been through the site. Looks very promising and has got some resemblance to Sh.Dhirubhai Ambani’s life story.He has always been my role model and I want to know more about him.
